What’s your perfect slow December morning?

I love being in the countryside on the weekends. A perfect morning would include a cup of tea in bed with my dogs, breakfast with newspapers and magazines. 

What bag essentials are you never without, even on the quiet days?

I’ll never be without a good book on the go, you never know if you’ll be in a red light signal on the tube or be early for something to get some extra reading time done. I’m currently reading ‘Raising Hare’ by Chloe Dalton.

If December were a texture, what would it be for you?

I always think of a luscious velvets at this time of year. Around our Christmas tree at home we always had a vintage burgundy velvet to cover the base and I’m always reminded of its silky texture.

What’s on your wish list this year? 

I love the London Velvet Phone pouches. I’m going on an exciting trip in January and it’s perfect for carrying around your phone safely when seeing the sites. 

Best last-minute stocking filler you’d recommend to anyone in a panic?

I always find that you cant go wrong with our Penny plant pots, they are our bestsellers and can come in various colour ways. I’ve even started using mine for popcorn as well as a wine cooler or plant pot! 

The gift you’re most excited to give someone this year… 

Hopefully she won’t be reading this, but I found my Mum a vintage Eric Ravilious pot from the 50s which I can’t wait to give.

A scent or perfume that immediately puts you in a December mood?

In the winter I wear Frederic Malle 'Portrait of a Lady' that always makes me feel special.

What’s a tiny, underrated ritual that makes your day feel better?

I love making my bed first thing in the morning, it makes me feel instantly more calmer and I love the ritual of making it look as comfortable and well made as possible.

If your London Velvet could talk… what kind of day would it say you’ve had?

As a small business owner and founder, my days always really varied which I love. Either I’m out for meetings or heading to inspiring events or plotting the next big thing.

And, without giving too much away… what excites you most about the collaboration we have coming this Spring?

I’m so excited to for this collab. There is something in the collection that I know I’ll be using every day in the Summer and can’t wait to be flaunting it out and about.

It will be taking me to the mountains in Switzerland which I can’t wait for.
